The MAD (Mechanical Art and Design) Museum does what it says on the tin! This quirky attraction located in the centre of Stratford upon Avon houses around 60 interactive mechanical contraptions and is the only one of its kind in the UK.

What's fascinating about this hands-on hide away is that it combines inspirational creativity, witty design and engineering ingenuity. The pieces on display have been sourced from artists all around the world and the fact that nearly everything is interactive means kids and big kids(!) can really get stuck in. You are encouraged you to press buttons, build marble runs and to "release your inner inventor"

Perfect for the whole family, The MAD Museum is a fantastic playground for adults and an exciting treasure trove for inquisitive kids. As well as being highly interactive and a lot of fun, this eccentric museum appeals to those with curious and methodical brains too. If you like art, design, science and/or engineering, The MAD Museum is for you. www.themadmuseum.co.uk

Since initially opening in March 2012, this weird and wonderful museum has become one of the must-see attractions in this tourist town. Lucky enough to showcase some of the worlds finest pieces of Kinetic Art and Automata from pioneering artists all around the world, The MAD Museum is now keen to provide a bigger platform for this increasingly popular type of art. The MAD Museum is bringing some old favourites and crowd pleasers with us, but we will also be displaying a whole new range of exciting never-seen-before exhibits. The new venue will be completely transformed, with a fabulous brand new MAD look! www.themadmuseum.co.uk
