STRATFORD CHORAL SOCIETY was founded in 1836 and thus shares with the Huddersfield Choral Society the distinction of jointly being among the oldest in Britain. Apart from short interludes during wartime, the Society has given regular concert performances in the Stratford Town Hall, Holy Trinity Church, the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre, Civic Hall and the Levi Fox Hall. The choir has between eighty and a hundred members and performs three or four concerts a year. A full profile, programme and information on how to join can be found at |
